Alfasoft presents Transport Management System A-TMS which is designed for planning, routing and fulfillment of delivery requests within minimum time, as well as cross-docking to local warehouses and transferring goods from one warehouse to other warehouses.
System works as an online transport planning service at http://a-tms.net
The system provides a possibility to customize expenses for own transport as well as for hired transport. The result is the solution close to optimal based on the profitability of all routes for one day.
Advantages of use:
1. Optimal use of both own transport and hired transport in terms of total expenses. The system can reduce the necessary amount of vehicles up to 30% (the exact amount depends on a number of factors).
2. Real time statistics at delivery points are taken into account for calculation of optimal delivery routes, which also enables to reduce the amount of fuel and time with respect to a single delivery point.
3. The implementation of transport management system enables to develop a controlled and scalable business process without human factor impact.
4. High system performance can increase the time for request processing and goods selection in warehouses due to the time previously spent for manual routing planning.
5. The system provides the possibility to find optimal fleet on the basis of a retrospective analysis of delivery requests for the previous period (e.g. for the previous year).
The system consists of:
· Automatic route planning module
· Transport monitoring module
· Delivery request fulfillment traceability module
Automatic route planning module has a number of functions:
• Different delivery schemes, cross-docking, goods transfer from one warehouse to other warehouses
• Compatibility of goods for delivery as well as compatibility of a vehicle with goods for delivery
• Weight, volume of goods are taken into consideration, as well as the number of pallet positions
• Time, mileage, capacity of a vehicle can be customized
• Consideration of different parking places
• Additional loading at several warehouses, “loading waves” formation
• Distribution of undelivered goods to warehouses or leaving goods in a vehicle for next day delivery
• Planning efficiency reports: automatic plan with or without manual adjustment, actual trips (based on Transport Monitoring System "MT", see below)
• Integration with Transport Monitoring System allows the use of time statics at delivery points
Transport Monitoring System runs on drivers’ cell phones and allows tracking the following information:
• Status of way-bills, including reports of survey discrepancies incidents to shipment
• GPS coordinates , mileage , actual route time
• Delivery statistics on all trips for a day
Delivery request fulfillment traceability module provides a possibility for logistics experts as well as bailor representatives to track the degree of delivery request fulfillment via Internet.
The degree of access to information about delivery request fulfillment may range from standard access to highly specified access. Standard access gives general information about current state of service whereas highly specified access allows tracking current status of every delivery request and way-bill.
The system has been successfully used by a major logistics company in Belarus TUT i TAM Logistics (T & T) (ttl.by).
Success story
Currently, Transport Management Systems which is used by logistics company T & T (www.ttl.by) manages up to 10 000 requests every day, assigns up to 500 tons of cargo composed of 100 000 kinds of goods to about 500 vehicles. The daily overall mileage of vehicles can be up to 25 000 km. and up to 5 000 delivery points throughout Belarus may be serviced. Transported goods are divided into groups, permitted or prohibited for joint transportation, taking into account the type of a vehicle. Planning takes into account the possibility of reloading the vehicle at different warehouses, next day delivery of undelivered goods, different work schemes with regions, goods transfer from one warehouse to other warehouses.
For all the conditions stated above, the system generates optimal daily solutions, which takes about half an hour.
The system can be used exclusively (when installed at the customer's network). Also, it can be used as a service (via Internet with the access to the coordinating system server). In the latter case, the calculations are performed at distributed cloud-based servers which allow executing calculations in parallel, which increases computing power and reduces the risk of system failure due to the physical computing power separation.
We offer to execute a test calculation in order to assess the quality of planning according to your data.
